Our ‘For the life we live’ campaign is now live

The campaign reflects a simple truth: retirement looks different for everyone. Retirement planning should reflect how people really live, rather than outdated assumptions about what retirement should look like.

This campaign gives you the opportunity to start more personal conversations with your clients about what they want from retirement. By encouraging people to think beyond their finances, you can help clients consider the life they are planning for and the steps that could help them prepare for their second life.

Bringing retirement to life on air and on screen

Our new Irish radio ad is running across national stations including Newstalk, RTÉ Radio 1, Today FM and Lyric FM, as well as digital audio placements such as podcasts and Spotify. Inspired by the idea that life rarely follows a straight line, the ad highlights that retirement is no different.

You may also spot us on TV across RTÉ, Virgin Media, Sky & TG4 - or if you’re part of our target audience, on YouTube. There are shorter versions running on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, where much of consumers’ screentime is spent nowadays.

This increased visibility can help bring retirement planning to the front of clients’ minds. Advisers can build on that awareness by asking clients what a fulfilling retirement means to them and whether their current plans reflect those ambitions.

Partnering with The Irish Times

As part of the campaign, we’re partnering with The Irish Times, including sponsorship of the Better with Money podcast hosted by Aideen Finnegan. The episode released on 29 September features a branded Standard Life introduction, with further content planned as the campaign continues.

The partnership gives clients another accessible way to engage with financial topics. Advisers can share relevant campaign content with clients before or after a meeting, helping to maintain the conversation and encourage clients to think more broadly about their future.

Helping clients explore their retirement readiness

The campaign is supported by a dedicated webpage, where you can access tools and guides to help support your client conversations. We also just launched a new online questionnaire that helps people explore their retirement readiness.

This questionnaire is a great way to get your clients thinking about the life they want in retirement. It encourages prospective and current clients to consider different aspects of retirement readiness, identify the areas they feel prepared for, and those that may need more attention.

Lastly, we’ll also be present in the press, with some advertising and editorial pieces in national publications such as The Irish Times, Irish Independent, Examiner and more.
